Everything you need to know about PrestaSecure
Download the module matching your PrestaShop version from your customer area. Import the ZIP file in your back office via Modules > Upload a module. Then enter your API key and license key in the configuration page and click "Save & Activate".
PrestaSecure is compatible with PrestaShop 1.6, 1.7, 8 and 9. A dedicated module is available for each major version. The correct version is automatically detected when downloading from your customer area.
The module automatically checks for updates. When a new version is available, a banner appears in the module dashboard. You can also enable automatic updates in settings. Your configurations and scan data are preserved.
The module collects SHA-256 hashes of all your store files and sends them to our API for comparison with official PrestaShop checksums. Modified or unknown files are then deeply analyzed by our AI to detect malicious patterns (backdoors, shells, skimmers, etc.). No files are uploaded — only hashes and suspicious code snippets are transmitted.
No. The firewall analyzes incoming requests in milliseconds using a local detection rules cache. It intercepts SQL injection, XSS, path traversal and brute force attempts before they reach your application. The impact on page load time is less than 5ms per request.
For modified PrestaShop core files, the original file is restored from the official archive of your version. For malicious files (backdoors, webshells), they are deleted or quarantined. A full backup is always created before any change — you can rollback at any time.
PrestaSecure collects no personal data from your customers (names, emails, orders, payments). Only file hashes, suspicious code snippets and firewall statistics (blocked IPs, attack types) are sent to our API. Your data stays on your server.
You can click "Ignore" to mark a file as safe. It will no longer be flagged in future scans. If you encounter recurring false positives on a third-party module, contact our support — we will adjust our detection rules.
